A total of 20 subjects were divided into the abdominal massage group using aroma(n=5), the chiropractic group(n=5), the aroma massage and chiropractic group(n=5), and the control group(n=5). Aroma oil was made by mixing sweet almond oil(50 ㎖) and cypress, grapefruit and lemon essential oil(5%). The PI adjustment of the pelvis using Gonstead method and chiropractic adjustment using diversified technique were conducted with the subjects for 5 weeks. Finally abdominal obesity indexes were compared and analyzed: Body fat, BMI, abdominal skinfold, body fat mass, %body fat, and the change of the pelvis. Based on the results of this study, the aroma massage group had no statistically significant difference in body fat mass, BMI, and the change of the pelvis, whereas it had a significant difference in abdominal skinfold, WHR, and %body fat. The chiropractic group had some reduction, although no significant difference was found. The aroma massage and chiropractic group showed a statistically significant difference in abdominal skinfold, body fat mass, WHR, %body fat, and the change of the pelvis but BMI.
