Effect of Sound Therapy on the Stress Relief

ABSTRACT
The main purpose of this study was to investigate how to influenced with the physical body and the mentality in humans is researched for the effect to relief stress by sound-therapy. The effect of stress which is came from the noise and the repeating work, is analyzed and recorded by electroencephalogram (EEG). The period of the program was from Feb. 15th until Apr. 30th. The subjects of the study were selected 56 volunteers who hadn't taken any stress reducing medicine and the sound-therapy. The results were as followings. EEG especially, the variations of α wave as called ‘relaxation wave' which related with the effect on reducing stress was investigated. The application of sound-therapy for 2 minutes to noise stress, and for three minutes to repeated work stress. Therefore, it can be said that The experimental results shows that the sound-therapy has correlated efficacy to stress from the noise and the repeated work. Through the survey conducted, it is investigated if there are some differences as per the psychological characteristics of each person by questioning the participants on the degree of moderation in eating in order to know the effects of the diet. Consequently, from these results, the sound-therapy could be effective method for relief stress and worth for well-being life.
