Study on the social variables according to beauty care of university women

ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to offer basic data for cognition and attitude for improvement appearance management and beauty care in university women students. And this study is to examine their's appearance management behavior, health management, social interpersonal, self-esteem and variety factor focused on appearance, hair, skin care, nail, and makeup according to beauty care concern. The data analysis material was used SPSS for Windows program and the analysis methods used in this syudy are t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlations, factor analysis. The data was collected and analyzed from 307 university women students from fresh man to juniors in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Daejeon, chung cheongnam-do. The data analysis the factors significantly related to the appearance interest were place, grade, major, monthly spending money, family income. Through this study, the following conclusions could be made: a significant difference was found in attitudes towards appearance, hair, skin care, nail, and makeup according to beauty care concern. Depending on the beauty care, beauty & health management, social interpersonal, self-esteem and variety factors of beauty care showed significant difference. It was found that university students had high desire to actively participate in social movement and express their own characteristics and change their appearances due to insatiable outlooks.
