Formation of Essencial oil-Liquid Crystal by Solubilization
ABSTRACT
Today we can have wide application Liquid Crystal to everyday life. It is applied at a cosmetics
industry. It have been used for the material to adjust the transmit system of the active ingredient
and moisturizer. It is asks for a skin absorption to be continue the efficacy of the active ingredient
long and easy. The selection of the solubilizer occupies important part to enhance the quality of the
Liquid Crystal.
We have the formation of the Essencial oil-Liquid Crystal as solubilization in this research. It is
possible to use a little aminofect as surfactant. We used Selachyl alcohol as co-solubilizer not to use
the etanol to be used generally in the solubilization. We tried to make the Essencial oil-Liquid
Crystal of this best suited low irritation at the skin. We confirmed the yes or no of the formation of
the Liquid Crystal through the polarizing microscope.
