Effect of Platycodon grandiflorum Extract Intake on Fatigue Reduction by Meridian Massage

ABSTRACT
In this study, it was performed meridian massage after drinking of Platycodon Grandiflorum extract in order to improve the side effects such as fatigue caused for meridian massage. By selecting the people to appeal to above normal fatigue after performing primary meridian massage for women 30 to 50’s, on the secondary experiment, 8 control group and 8 experimental group who drinking Platycodon Grandiflorum extract before massage were performed 2 hours meridian massage. After massage, each subjects were analyzed for blood to investigating the degree of fatigue. When comparing the results of before and after massage, it was shown that the fatigue was changed five (62.5%) in the Platycodon Grandiflorum extract drinking experimental group and one (12.5%) in the control group from nomal fatigue to little fatigue. it is much more significant improvement in the experimental group. When comparing the results of before and after massage, When comparing the results of before and after massage Lactic acid was shown a significant decrease 5.41% in the control group, 30.58% in the experimental group. Uric acid was shown a significant decrease 9.31% in the experimental group. looking at the hormonal changes, Cortisol showed a significant decrease of 33.8% in the experimental group (a significant decrease about twice than the experimental group). Selotonin was shown a significant increase 4.04% in the control group and a significant decrease 13.63% in the experimental group. SOD was shown a significant increase 11.62% in the experimental group. BAP was a significant reduction of 1.2% in the control group and a significant increase of 6.07% in the experimental group. d-ROMs showed a significant increase of 5.27% in the experimental group. In this study, a result of performing a Platycodon Grandiflorum extract meridian massage, that it is shown a significant reduction of lactic acid and uric acid-fatigue substance in blood and reduction of fatigue and antistress hormone cortisol and fatigue-induced serotonin in the experimental group. It is shown that drinking latycodon Grandiflorum extract before meridian massage has positive the effects of fatigue reduction, antioxidant effect and stress hormone.
