For this study, the 20 subjects of adult males and females were taken, who are going through acne presently, and again this was divided into two groups: one for the test with glycolic acids and the other for the test with seaweeds. The experiment proceeded 8 times in total once a week over the period of 8 weeks. And the number of pores increased in size, the number of black head, the number of hyperpigmented spot and the size of hyperpigmented area were measured after and before the experiment. The examination showed that the number of pores and black head decreased in both seaweeds group and glycolic acid group. However, the group with seaweeds increased greater than that of glycolic acid.In the hyperpigmentation phenomenon, the seaweeds group showed a good result whereas, on the contrary, the glycolic acid group indicated the increase in number. This study implied that the method with seaweeds scaling has a positive effect on the improvement regarding the acne and hyperpigmentation.
