Research for up-style of Art Nouveau - Focuson making up- style trial works using Art Nouveau

ABSTRACT
Art Nouveau has qualities of organic line, asymmetry and glittering color. And we are get used to these special qualities as they already have been used to fashion design, accessories, interior decoration and furniture. So Art Nouveau hair style will be applied to hair styles especially to up-styles in this research. Four trail works were made for seeking the possibility of Art Nouveau hair style. The first work has quality of organic line, the second work has quality of flower and vine, the third work has quality of asymmetry structure and the fourth work has accessories.Consequently the four trail works can show quality of Art Nouveau, and elegant figures well. But other point of views should be applied to decide practicality of the four works. According to increase of events that have importance of hair styles such as beauty contests, Art Nouveau up-styles which are elegant and refinements have been used often than before. The four trialworks, however, seem not to be utilized well. So the Art Nouveau up-styles that have not only elegance, refinements and voluptuous beauty but also practicality are needed to be studied more
