| ABSTRACT |
|
In this research, The analysis on the scalp protection effect of Prunella vulgaris ethanol and fractions. According to the result of free radical elimination test to measure the antioxidant effect of Prunella vulgaris, ethyl acetate, butanol fraction have the highest eliminate ability and IC50 value is 24.9㎍/㎖. Ethyl acetate fraction have the highest content of Phenol and flavonoids. and the measurement result of ethyl acetate fraction's Phenol contents is 344.9±0.3 and flavonoids contents is 190.6±3.3. Hydrogen peroxide's protection effects for HaCaT keratinocytes appear 90% protection effect at 100㎍/㎖ concentration of ethylacetate fraction. Ethylacetate fraction have the best anti-fungal effect for Malassezia furfur. According to these results, Prunella vulgaris ethylacetate fraction have good HaCaT keratinocytes protection effect against Malassezia furfur and hydrogen peroxide. so, Prunella vulgaris ethylacetate fraction can be expected as a useful natural dandruff medicine and beauty functionality material.
