| A Study on the Influence of Tea Tree Essential oil to Improve Skin Condition

| ABSTRACT |
|
I made this study of examination to know how the essential oil could influence the skin condition of the male and female students aged from 10-29. I let these students to use the tea tree essence oil and interviewed them with the questionnaire. And I compared the photos taken before they used the tea tree essence oil with the photos taken after they used it.
Though I had examined 70 students in total, I analyzed the result of the 61 available sheets of questionnaire after I had to omit the 9 unavailable photos. And I took the useful case materials of the 10 photos with good resolution. The result of this study is as follow. And I'd like to summarize this study like this below.
Firstly, the subject of this investigation was composed of 14 teenagers and 47 persons aged between 20-29.
Secondly, out of the total examined persons, 17 persons had the 'cotton-styled' pimples(27.9%),
16 persons for the papule pimples(26.2%), 15 persons for the pustule pimples(24.6%) and 13 persons had the encysted tumor pimples. 23 persons were troubled with the pimples whole on their face(37.7%). 14 persons were troubled with the pimples around their mouth(23%). 13 persons were troubled with the pimples on their foreheads(21.3%). 11 persons were troubled with the pimples on their cheeks(18.0%). About the time of the outbreak of pimples, 9 persons had them in the first half of their teenage, 37 persons in the latter half of their teenage. 11 persons in the first half of their twenty ages. And 4 persons in the latter half of their twenty ages. About the duration of the pimples, 32 persons suffered from the pimples for more than 5
years(52.5%), 29 persons suffered from the pimples for less than 5 years(47.5%).
Thirdly, about the effect of the tea tree oil to remove the pimples, 23 persons had the effect of
using tea tree oil to remove the pimples in two weeks. 14 persons had the effect in a week 9
persons had the effect in three weeks. But 6 persons didn't experience any effect with the oil.
29 persons experienced the satisfactory effect of the oil after its use in three month. 16 persons
Experienced the positive effect when they used it after two weeks. 13 persons got no effect of it. 3 persons felt its effect after a week.
Fourth, according to the level of satisfaction of using the tea tree essence oil, 6 persons strongly confirmed it(9.8%). 14 persons confirmed it(23%).
36 persons had neutral attitude(59.0%). But 5 persons got the negative answer(8.2%). 2 persons
Want to strongly recommend the tea tree oil to their neighbors(3.3%). 14 persons might recommend the tea tree oil their neighbors(23.0%). 33 persons got the neutral attitude(55.7%).
But 11 persons would never recommend it to their neighbors(18.0%).
For the cure of another disease, 8 persons would like to use the tea tree oil for another treatment(13.1%). 25 persons is inclined to use it for another treatment. 23 persons got the neutral idea on it(41.0%).
But 5 persons got negative idea on it(8.2%).
Fifth, about the level of the satisfaction of the duration of treatment, 9 persons reply was positive(14.8%) 17 persons reply was moderate(27.9%) 33 persons reply was negative(54.1%) and 2 persons reply was so negative(3.3%).
Finally, most of the investigated persons acquired the effect of removing the pimples in one or
two weeks.
