ABSTRACT
The effects of flavonoid quercetin (ex: anti-oxidation, anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and anti-allergy, etc.) have been confirmed through various studies, and it has been used as the ingredient of cosmetics. However, it’s been hard to find a study on its clinical trials in the skin. Therefore, this study has performed skin clinical trials after applying the quercetin-containing product to the skin and examined its skin improvement effects. According to the analysis, in terms of changes in skin pores, the number of pores on the face in the experimental group in which quercetin-containing cream was used decreased (p>.05). In terms of changes in pigmentation on the face, improvement of pigmentation was observed in the experimental group(p<.05). In terms of wrinkles, wrinkle improvement was observed in the experimental group (p>.05). In terms of skin tone, improvement of skin tone was detected in the experimental group (p<.05). Therefore, it appears that quercetin would improve skin tone and pigmentation as the improvement of anti-oxidation effects.
