The Effect of Cryotherapy and Massage on the Lower Body Size of Women in the 20s

ABSTRACT
This study discussed the effect of cryotherapy and massage on lower body care to examine how they reduce the lower body sizes. The subjects were 20 women in their 20s and divided into the massage group and the massage and cryotherapy group for comparison. The therapy was performed twice a week for 4 weeks for a total of 8 sessions from May 22, 2012 yr through June 16, 2013 and the subjects’ weight, body fat, size of thighs, size of calves, size of ankles, and size of instep were measured. As a result, the massage group showed improvement in thighs, calves, ankles, and instep according to the period of study, while the massage and cryotherapy group showed improvement calves, ankles, and instep. The two groups did not show any significant difference, but it was concluded that combining the massage with cryotherapy is size of thighs more effective than performing the massage alone. According to this conclusion, the author intends to apply this result to healthy program in this thesis.
